I live in Canada, and it seems like most aquarium stuff, especially tank setups, are a lot pricier. I can't buy online (no credit card... I really should have one ;)) either.

There is a tank for sale that is 80g, comes with a nice stand, lights (T5's), gravel (I won't use), driftwood and ornaments (I'll use the would), a canister filter (a Fluval of some kind)... basically an entire setup ready to go.

It is $500, and I'm not sure if the price is very flexible. I'll find out better details about the size, exact filter, etc., but the condition of the tank is excellent.

Is this a complete rip-off? I read about 100g tanks for $300, and that just isn't possible for me to find where I live. I haven't bought a used tank and an 80g would be an awesome addition, just don't have much of a reference point...

An 80g tank at a Super Pet here would be maybe 150-200. A stand would be at least 200...

Thanks!

i got a 285 reef tank and stand with sump for 1100 USD

Sounds a little high, I'd shoot for around 300 for that setup used.

run forrest run! from 500.00 try fish forum classifieds, craiglist, and classifieds in the paper. 500 is way to much for 80g setup. paid 400 for 150g with everything but water and fish this way. good luck

Yeah I figured $500 was too much...

There are no tanks for sale in my area (and I live in a city of 110,000), and on another buy and sell site, I found a few options.

- a 55g w/ fluval 404, oak stand, and gravel for $300 firm

- a 90g 'full setup' for $600 OBO

Just can't get a good deal in my area - not enough aquarium enthusiasts I suppose!

I have 7 goldfish in a 55g and want to split them up... so another 55g would be alright, but I want something big :D
