Does anyone on here buy their fish online? If so, what site do you get them from? I've never gotten any online before. Lately I've been looking at some sites, but the shipping is so expensive...it almost doesn't seem worth it...

I plan on buying my stingray from a site called aquascapeonline or liveaquaria. I don't know anything about quality though. Just have a good aquarium up and running and clean, because your fish will most likely be very distressed and might not take food for a couple of days.

I have bought EBJDs online. The shipping is brutal. The only fish I would order online are ones I cannot find locally. If you can find it locally, it will most likely be cheaper. The trick is to order as much as possible at once. In my experience, shipping was $35 for up to 10 fish. If you only order 1, that really sucks....but at 10, it is only $3.50 per. Some places off free shipping if you order a couple hundred bucks worth of fish. Get some buddies together and make a big order. In those situations, even more common fish can be real cheap online.

I still say only order online if it is rare fish you cannot find.

I do it all the time. Haven't had any problem's with receiving live and healthy fish. Massaggression is a great place to go. I just picked up a 8"-10" black blue arowana from them today. AE Aquatics , is another great place to go. You could even drive to them. One is in MA and the other is in NJ, since your from NY.

I vouch for pedro @ aquascape. i've ordered hundreds of times from him when i used to spend my life on this forum. superb service & high survivability. living in hawaii, not one fish casualty due to DOA from them (so ur not likely to have any worst odds)
