Since frontosa grow so slow and they are kinda mild in aggression can I buy say 1-2 frontosa a week and add em to my grow out tank?

And if I can how long can I grow my fronts in a 50 gallon ? I'm thinking of growing them say 5-10 at a time then once they are 3-4 inches introducing them to my 200 gallon my hope is to end with around 20-24 then growing them and ending with two males and the rest say 12-15 females

At what size can you sex frontosa my brother n law swears at an inch or so he says that 98% of the time if you have a tank of all fronts the largest ones are males

Your brother in law is full of beans! hahaha
They can be vented/sexed at about 3". I've had female fry outgrow male fry as well so imo venting is the only reliable means of sexing.

That came out a little rude, sorry. I was just trying to joke with you a little. You should have no problems adding a few fish at a time to your tank as long as the size difference isn't too great. Probably get to the 3" mark in 6-8 months I'm guessing.

Sounds like you have a good plan. The best time to sex them is as your are transferring form your 50 gallon because at 3"-4" you should be able to vent.

Venting is the only reliable way. 1" is to small but your brother is correct in saying that in a group the largest will be male. but you could have some non dominant males that may be the same size as the females.
