Buying Glass. Seamed Edges?

Im getting ready to start a 8' plywood build and have a question about the glass. Since the glass will be inside the wood and the edges wont be seen is it nessesary to have the edges seamed (sanded smooth and square)? I found glass with raw edges for $215 and seamed for $300. Would it be worth saving the $75 to go with raw edges?

You can always finish off the edges yourself. Lots of you tube videos on sanding glass.

a little bit of sandpaper and 15 minuets of time and you save $75 bucks, I think the answer is clear, buy some 100 grit wet/dry diamond sandpaper.
