Hi all,

Where would I get sponge to put onto my wet-dry sump? I know many places has them, but which is specifically is ok for a fish tank? Mine is getting pretty beat up and I want to switch it.

Many thanks!

:)

Forgot to mention, I am just wondering because the sponges used to clean dishes, have soap in them and I am not entirely sure how effective are the ones used for showers/bath.

Are you talking about the coarse filter sponges or are you talking about scrubbies?

You probably won't find them at Lowes. You will need to go to the dollar store to buy them or a local Do It Best center. Otherwise, there are people on here that sell and ship them.

I'm guessing that they would work. They are very porous and should hold a good amount of bacteria. I would watch out for them to breakdown after being in the water for a while. other than that, I think they would be OK.
