Buying new tank !!

hey guys i am currently lookin at buyin a new 6 ft tank. I'm gonna make the stand myself although i was wondering if there were any things i should be looking at (quality wise) when buyin the tank? i.e thickness of glass, way corners are joined ect. As some places are considerably more expensive than others? cheers!!

I found when looking for some1 to build me a 8' tank I pritty much searched around my area for tank builder/fish shops and looked at the tanks they had on display for workman ship. I ended up going with the tank builder my lfs just down the road from me because the qual of the tanks in his shop from the builder was good as well as his price was a good $300 cheaper than any of the other places i asked with the same qual work

About an hour and a half from brissy! $300 for an 8 ft tank jeez thats cheap ey is that 8 x 2 x 2 or what?

where abouts in brissy did you get your tank from? suburb?

aquariums r us in brissy are good with prices.They dont relly do fish,just aquariums and any gear you need.6x2x2 $330 for tank.
Remember some places wont guarentee the tank if it's not on one of thier stands so ask before you purchase.
