I'm buying a used 125 gallon setup. The guy has gar, oscars, and a catfish in the tank. All the fish are pretty big. What is my best way to move the fish and keep them safe?

go to ur local fish store and get styro boxes that the fish come in. the people at the fish store will know what ur talking about. gl
Just make sure the Gar is OK, He's really the only one that matters, all the other fish are pretty much worthless. The styro boxes are a great idea and if you lived closer I have one you could use.
Now for the good stuff... What type of Gar is it? How big is it and can you provide some pics for viewing pleasure?

anyways if you want the gar ditch the oscars and catfish. not good tank mates for the gar. use buckets or styro boxes
