bye bye brown ghost knife

well i have a little 3inch or so brown ghost knife, however he will not do anything, including eat. So in my tank which has other predators he wount take any food and after like 20 secs of food hitting the water the bichir is out and hunting for it. so he dosn't get any food, so sadly i will most likely have to give him back to my lfs

bummer. they can be so shy sometimes they wont eat. How long has he been in there? just curious. he may still be adapting?

probably around 3 weeks, i just don't want the little guy to die in there.

he's looking pretty thin so i transfered him to my 10gallon (has no other fish in it) and see how he does.

Remember that these guys are nocturnal and you're better off dropping food in right before lights out.

well good news, looks like he ate in the 10 gallon, if only a little at least he ate.

yea, sense he ate he has been a lot more active, even swiming around in plain daylight, if only for a min or two. I plan to let him grow bigger then hopfully put him back in the larger tank.

That's what I would do! He also may be lonly since they do school when they are small. Feed him good heathly foods!
