Well, so much for all the learning. She died tonight. Gave me no warning, no funny behavior, no death curl, ate her shrimp like she usually does 10 minutes before I left for my grandparents' 50th anniversary party. Came back 6 hours later, and she's dead. Just laying on the bottom like she's asleep, but no gill movement. I checked the water this morning like usual and then again after I found her dead, parameters are fine. Was planning on doing a water change tonight and starting her internal parasite medication. Ugh. :(

You don't hear too much about people successfully keeping atlantic stingrays in the home Aquarium.

sorry for your loss. why not get a FW one instead. much easier to look after.

I didn't get one because I don't like how they look. For whatever reason they're just not attractive to me. I'm just going to set up a saltwater tank with some pretty fish. Apparently big fish aren't my forte'.

awww, sorry for your loss :(

little fish arnt my forte...which works quite well for me lol

Sorry to hear.
But I will say you fought off a lot of problems leading up to this point with that little ray. Hopefully you learned a lot.

I did, and as much as I miss her, I'm thankful for the knowledge I've gained and the help you guys have given.

Today's a sad day for a lot of people. I just got a call from my parents, their two 18" koi just passed away today too. They're a breeding pair that have been together since they were little and are very bonded, so we're thinking one died first and the other got immensely upset and also died. They get brought inside every year for the winter, my dad has a massive indoor pond set up to house them during the cold months, and we always have to transport the two large ones together -- if you take one out first and not the other, the remaining one freaks out wondering where its mate went. They've been together about 10 years. It's just really depressing.
