Sadly I lost him this past summer. When you have a fish for 7 yrs its pretty hard. I was really attached to him. Sadly he jumped out when my tank builder failed to deliver the glass lids for his tank. It was covered but he squeezed through somehow.
So sorry for your loss I've been there myself and lost a 6yr old aro , unfortunately the fishkeeping game has this downside and its never easy once you make that bond with your aro
Beautiful Goldie. So many aros perish this way. The one thing that gives me peace of mind is the 3/4" thick 20 lb acrylic lids on my big tank. Hopefully you can start growing another stunner to help you thru
It amazes me how sometimes fish regardless of how big they may be seem to find a way out of a tank. I once had a wolf fish and no matter what I did he would find his way out. I swear he had the brains of a human. That is why the one time I found him on the floor dead I told people he committed suicide. Sorry that you lost him. But bounce back with something special. Good luck!
Sorry for your loss , it is a special bond we have with our fish .
I to lost one years ago and it's never easy . But just after my dad
passed away I got another Aro to help me through it all .
Thanks All.
I'm starting over again with this guy. I went to the glass shop and got lids made myself after this happened. I siliconed gate latches to the top of the tank. Tank builder never came through. I hope this guy gets the deep gold color of my last XB.
He has good potential but WTT always washes out so time will tell. I think he'll be a stunner.
