would a 300 gal be adequate for a single red sh? dont really have a 300 gal at present,or a red sh...but a guy can dream right?:D

possibly.. one micro in a 300 could possibly work in a 300 with the right dimensions.. like 7x3x2.. that adds up to 314G..

but then again, these fish are about as strong and fierce as they come and they grow BIG.. you can always hope for it to stay at 30" and if so you'll be not good but ok with a 300 with those dimensions but I would really recommend a 8-10x4x3 as a minimum.. if you would get a 7x3x2 he/she would be better of than most micros and buying one would be "justified" but the motto is always the bigger the better.. they are bulkier than most other sh's and can be aggressive as a swarm of bees on coke..
