Beautiful fish.I would love a large group of those one day.How big is it?

I kept mine in a large group, grew the group of 15 out together with no aggression.
Gave them away just before moving to Panama, and they spawned for guy I gave them to soon after, as they were just reaching maturity

Mine were also very plant tolerant, even though they are eartheaters. about 2/3 of the tank was heavily planted, but large sandy areas were left open for them to sift, the tank also had a very strong current.

Very nice Duanes, that looks like it was a really interesting tank. The central American eartheaters are definitely where my main interest in the hobby resides.

Thanks Darren, I think around 8". I think it's a she, but not 100% certain.

Beautiful rostratum Duane. I understand they are very peaceful in groups. This one is a little more aggressive (not bad though) and I believe that's because that's because it's a single fish.
It's good to know they are easy on plants. I would like to get live plants now I don't have a melanura anymore.

Cribroheros and thorichthys are my favorite genus. Took some pics of my grow out tank. I have t. Pasionis, c. Robertsoni and a t. Mixteco.

Thanks Darren.
I can't wait for these fish to grow and add to the 150g. I am hoping these tank raised fish originate from the same locations as the bigger robertsoni and pasionis. So far they look very similar. This is the problem when you don't buy all the groups at the same time or some die off.
