I was wondering about CV Maju- Ive been hearing the name alot lately, and prior to this year hadnt heard of them at all- but its just the name Im hearing- nothing good nothing bad- and I was wondering if anyone any opinions?

Just another farm. Nothing special.

yeah just a farm that sells rays, asian arowanas, hybrid bichirs

We're seeing quite a lot of their reds in Canada this year. Interesting that their reds look a lot like Qian Hu's reds.

The farm started in 1976 with fish other than aros, and didn't get a cities permit for aros until 2005. So they're fairly new in the aro game.

Wow, with all the mention of them I thought that they were going places...
Chai, its fitting that you knew a bit about them because if I remember right most of the talk was from Canada
Thanks for the input guys

One other thing just hit me- whats distinguishing about Qian Hus reds?

I won't be able to tell you until I see mine as an adult and can also find reliable pics on the net. They're not one of the bigger producers.

My comment was based on seeing pics of three recently-imported 8" cv maju reds and knowing that if I placed the 3 recently-imported qian hu reds in the same tank, I don't think you could tell the difference. Just my opinion, though. :)

The market is really growing here. It's become very obvious that since the economy crash, prices on asians have dropped considerably and Canada is being seen as a viable market by some of the better farms. In the next couple of years, you're going to see some awesome red aro comms on canadian soil.

Boydo has set the mark, and a lot of guys are spending the coin to catch up. :)
