CA/SA DONATED 55 GALLON STOCKING

Someone donated a 55 gallon to the church I attend, and I'm trying to figure out what CA/Sa cichlids to stock it with. Please help me...:)
 
maybe a nice planted tank with geophagus species fish and maybe 3 discus

I was leaning towards a Geo tank, but I don't know about the discus because they're very delicate and what geo species should I get?:popcorn:
 
Or should I do a Solo Fish tank?
 
Either a group of gymnogeophagus gymnogenys or a community tank with a harem of apistogramma cacatuoides as your centerpiece fishes

How about a school of some tetras or a couple smaller-sized silver dollars. Maybe some gouramis?

Edit: If you really want cichlids, then I'd say severums, cons, or geos.
 
im gonna go with the geo planted tank
 
You will need to get a group of 5 or more and depending on which species of Geophagus, they may or maynot be able to be housed in a 55g for life.
