CA/SA tank mates

I'm setting up a CA/SA 100 gal tank. I plan to put my 3 terq severums and 2 gold severums in the tank. They are living right now with a school of giant danios. They do not seem to bother the danios or seem overly aggressive towards each other. Do you think it would be safe to put a mated pair of full grown convicts (pink 5 inch male, striped 4 inch female) in with them? And would anyone suggest a set of FM or a GT? Thanks

no GT and no breeding pair of cons. the fm would probbaly be ok. you would have better options like blue acara, or some types of geos.

Will the convicts get eaten/injured? I dont care if they do not breed anymore. That was the idea of putting them in the tank was that they would not get a chance to breed.

they will still breed and take much of the tank as theirs when they are breeding. your sevs will not like that...


breeding cons are much mor agro than your sevs are going to be. they are nasty little things when they have fry or eggs!!!!!

yea u should be worryin wut will happen to ur severums becuz cons are aggersive when breeding. anything in a breeding pair's way, and it curtains!

you could substitute the cons with a female firemouth, and then a catfish..................... then u will be fully stocked,

oh and keep the danios as dithers,unless ur gonna get others like giant danios, but i recomend little danios

Little danios get eaten in my house...I have not been able to keep them with any of my fish...lol...I will be transfering the giant danios with the severums...
