I have just recently bought a house and before I call to set up installation of my cable I wanted to try and get some feedback from some people out there. I have always been a cable person but I have a few friends that swear by satelite. The tv's will be run in HD as well so if either company offers a cool HD feature I would like to know that.. Thanks for any input..

I have DiSH network and love it -Anne

I have cable by insight. They offer discover HD and a lot of other HD channels. Its always clear, its fairly reasonable, It came with DVR (which i LOVE) and the internet is awesome.

Personally....I would go with dish if it wasnt for the internet. From what i understand they offer more HD channels. (keep the weather in mind though...that can knock it out sometimes)

Thanks man,

We have adelphia and Comcast around here. Neither of them getting much rants or raves from anyone I know. I have adelphia cable in the townhouse I'm renting and it offers some HD channels including 4,5,7, and 9 which are our NBC, Fox etc. Around here dish does not offer those channels in HD as of yet which is pretty big. Having the internet bundled together with my cable is going to be a key selling point. I have my walk through on Thursday and I'm going to bring my laptop to see if there is any free wireless internet flying around my place. :headbang2 ... We shall see

cable for me... less drilling on holes in an out of the house.. and worst if putting the dish network on the roof.. make sure he doesn't crack the tiles on your roof or do a hole :naughty: for me cable is better... coz it has less chances of having lightning spikes and if you will be adding internet.. it will be faster... don't forget.. internet using dish doesn't mean it will be fast... downloaad and upload??? watch out. :(

i love direct tv.... but cable has howard stern On demand....

dish network :D all the HD's and DVR it is awesome, better and cheaper than cable...I never have those so called "problems" with it...
