i saw a pic of a cactus pleco and fell in love can anyone tell me about it i couldnt find much info on them, how big do they get? what kind of set up do they need? compatability with other fish? how much do they usually run? just curious if im eligable id love to get me if they dont cost me an arm and a leg :grinno:

lets see the pic you saw!!

Cactus as in L-65, or as in L-114? I'd bet on 114, as L-65 is super rare. If it's an L-114, here is the answers to your questions.:

They grow under 1 foot, lots of wood, good with other top/mid swimming fish and aggressive to other simillar bottom dwellers. Cost depends on size.

These are very cool plecos. I had one that beat up my L-25 which is also called a cactus pleco. The L-25 is rarer than the L-114 these days but both I like a LOT. Google pseudocanthicus plecos and see the other l numbers also. Most of these guys are on the pleco ban except the L-114. If you look hard enough you can find them. Like was said price is determined by size. An L-114 anywhere from $30 to $140 give or take a few bucks. L-114 can be real tough guys with other plecos.
