would this be a good replacement for subtrate.I heard it would be alot easier.what do u think.I also heard newspaer was good.

p.s this is all for a tokay.

I'm sure that would be fine, but if you're just looking for something that's easy to replace, use newspaper or paper towels. It would be a lot cheaper.

I would use paper towel over cage carpet. Tokays like humidity correct? The paper towel would hold humidity much better.

i highly recommend cage carpet

the most cost effective material

badly soiled? just toss it in the washing machine and your done (dont throw it in the dryer)

its ok if its made for reptile vivariums also it is a pain to remove if theres a lot of furniture..
I've used household outdoor carpet its tends to rot..for your tokay paper or paper towels work good i'm not sure about substrate for a tokay i used wood chips for my reg gecko and had no probs.

Same here. I personally hate cage carpet with a passion. I mean, if you're gonna use it, you might as well use paper towels instead; they look just as tacky and much cheaper. Plus, sometimes baby lizards get their claws caught on it.

For your tokay, why not use a more naturalistic substrate, like dampened soil, cypress bedding, bed-a-beast, repti-bark, etc? While I've never owned a tokay, I've used these litters on various other large arboreal geckos without issues.

How so? Is it entirely inconceivable that we have opinions that differ from yours? Please don't say anything unless its constructive.
