cage pricing dang man

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
and dont get me wrong, these are nice and I love this LLL reptiles, always helpfull, but vision cages come on.

Expensive to make, expensive to sell.

Most plastic caging is pretty expensive.
Animal Plastics had ok prices though.

I liked the plastic vivariums, they look smart, good for stacking, easy to heat and light, durable and very easy to clean. Unfortunately they are expensive... vision, herptek etc. They are nice though.

Why is plastic better than glass??

Lighter, stronger, holds/heat humidity better, easier to clean, you can stack them, And they look way better to me. More professional and "sleak"

Pretty much. I dunno about humidity but certainly heat. Also it means that not every direction is see through which may benefit shy animals. To be honest a glass tank is generally the last thing I'd think of using before plastic/wooden vivs or tubs. Depends on the animal though really.

Yes but its easy enough to use black poster paper if you want to cover side glass. I like the look of being able to see inside from all sides .

I see everyone here rather use anything but glass tank lol but they work well.

Plastic by far holds heat way better than glass but if heating isnt an issue I prefer glass.
Even than you can certainly heat glass tank but again way less watts heats plastic that much better.

I don't stack cages and the only issue I have in snake room is cooling it which is easy by leaving one or two AC ceiling vents open depending on time of year .

I like glass as like the view and find it easy to clean. While back my Ruthven king outgrew his 55 gallon and looked at Animal plastics .

GREAT cages but opted for a 75 gallon long (60 inches) that pet store was selling .

Glass is also better if you need high humidity (simply place acrylic/glass sheet on screen) because over time high humidity can cause problems with plastic cages .

I use both and prefer glass since heating isn't an issue .
