Been interested in getting a cool Reptile. That don't get Massive. Just wondering what ya'll think about them. It's my first Lizard, I have a chance at a half grown pair.

I've been doing a lot a looking around about these Lizard's. Any info on them would be cool.

LMK, What ya'll think type tank/encloser he'd need for life? And the special need's i'd be missing. I'll more than likely just get one. I have no interest in breeding.

Any help would be great. thanks. :)

I wouldn't recommend them for a first Lizard..........They aren't the smallest Lizards available either.........Other than that, basic Crocodilian husbandry applies.........They are no different than keeping a Spectacled or Dwarf Caiman, even though they are a Teiid.........Animals raised in captivity will eat just about anything, LTCs will more than likely eat just Snails.............

well they eat only snails and get like 4 feet maybe you should start with a beardy first

I'm good with 4'.. I just don't want no 6-7 foot stuff. I think they will eat alot more than just snails also. The ones i'm looking at are eating Cat food and other thing's.

I'm pretty much going with this Lizard, Just looking for tip's. :)

ok just making sure your not one of those guys that say "oh thats a cool lizard Ill get a 50 gallon tank and put him in that yuck yuck yuck"

Are you aware of the price tag?

So, why would you want your first lizard to be a $1,700 lizard? Why not start out with something a bit more reasonable, easier to care, and cheaper? Just to get your feet wet....

I'll be 100% honest i have that problem. I alway's go large. I'm not going to lie to ya.

I don't know what the care level is of other Lizard's. But from the checking around the internet. These don't seem to be insanely hard? Please correct me if i'm wrong? The only thing that would be (tuff) i guess these guy's are going to need a nice sized water hole. Agin i have alot reading ect to do before i purchase.
