Calcium Deposit/Algae glass cleaner

my glass hood on my tank has deposits of algae on it, and it is distorting my lamp's color, since it is right below the lights. the bulb is a 50/50 actinic bulb so the tank should look purple, but instead is looking like a normal bulb again, and the glass is clouded with calcium, does anyone know any effective cleaner that i can use to remove these deposits? my water is very hard, off the hardness scale of most test kits, so there is alot of it.

You could try CLR just make sure you rinse well after using it.

i think i have some of that, its just that i dont like that it lightens up my lighting with all the deposits

use vinegar, it works, its cheap and is non-toxic.
