I don't see why not. It's very difficult to "overdose" a reptile on calcium intake in captivity, so I say, offer it anyway he takes it: on food, in water, misted on, etc.
But there is such a thing as overkill.
If you are feeding a PROPER diet and are lightly dusting his food then that should be more than enough. Also dont forget that a FULL SPECTRUM BULB IS ESSENTIAL. DONT cheap out here.
