Calcium in my water-is this something to worry about?

Hey everyone, I made a post in the pond section about this, I have noticed white stuff that is now almost all over my pond liner. The guys think its calcium deposits which makes sense (I have city water). So what my main concern is, is this something that I should look into remedying? Like getting a filter that removes calcium-but is calcium a mineral that fish need?

should be fine ive raised channel cats with high calicium but then again there indusctrutable
