Calculating Heat Requirements? (300gal)

How much heating will be required for a 300 gal to keep tropical fish? How can I work it out?

Recommended heaters?

I have 2 Jaeger 300 watts on a 540, keeps it at a nice steady 79 degrees. With a finnex temperature controller.

2-300watt heaters will be fine. I'd personally run them through a temp controller to get them to work simultaneously

would running heaters inline create a requirement for higher wattage heaters or would it be the other way?

2x 300w jager will work fine or 1x 600w.
