Got some young calico bristlenose/bushynose plecos for you (1"-1.50"). I have too many and need the space. Genetics: the father is a true calico, but the mom was either an albino or a calico (don't know which one - the old man had two gals in with him).

Prices are $6.00 each, 3/$15, or 6/$30 (I have more than that available).

I can ship Express mail, but it's not usually overnight from here anyway. I have shipped fish to South Texas in August and had it take 4 days via Priority Mail - all were just FINE when they finally got there. I use the very best shipping chemicals (NOT Bag Buddies, it only lasts 4-6 hours according to the manufacturer), and medical grade oxygen. Your fish will arrive just fine using the cheap method, so you may as well save some money.

Shipping will be $11.50 priority mail for 6 or less, or $15 for 7-12. PM me for a shipping quote if you want more than a dozen (don’t forget to include how many you want and what your zip is). Colorado in-state shipping will of course be less.

Well - not like any browns I've seen. I've never seen orangish "browns" before. Perhaps these pics will clear things up a bit. Here are some pics of the dad, followed by a pic of one of the "mom candidates" (I simply cannot find the female ABN - she really hides a lot). I don't know why the 3rd pic (mom A) came out so green - the tank and the rocks aren't green... Dad is guarding another clutch, so he just won't come out for a nice picture, but perhaps you can still tell enough even with the black sand, which seems to make the plecos darker). Sorry about the photo quality.

And one of the potential moms:

Anyway, I hope the pics are decent enough to tell something about what they look like. I never knew till I decided to use black sand in my breeding tank that the fish get darker on that sand than on my natural gravel.

Ok folks - I need some "constructive criticism" here - is it the lack of quality in the pics, the possibility of two moms, or the price that's slowing down the sales? Help me out here and let me know what's holding things up. Had some sales, but not like I thought they would be. I thought calicos were more popular than they seem to be!

The reasons i'm not purchasing any are, in this order: holding out for a longfin calico, the colors of text you choose to post in (having to highlight something in order to read it makes people far far less likely to read something), the uncertain genetics, and the lack of better pictures of all of the possible parents. Some of this you can fix, some you can't. I think your prices are reasonable, and you have kittens as your avatar, which are both points in your favor.
