My pair laid eggs on May 16 for the first time. The babies are growing quickly, and you can see the mottling showing now. Some appear almost all gray - It'll be very interesting what those turn out to look like.
The female is a pink jellybean (Not a hybrid, but basically a miniature, round pink convict), is only an inch, and the male is a gorgeous marbled/calico - pink, with black blotches all over, and he is developing very nicely, about 2 1/2 inches.
No idea about body shape yet on the babies.
Just thought I'd share.
Photo is from 2 weeks ago - babies have doubled in size. Mom and the other 40 babies are under and behind the driftwood.
