im getting calico convicts soon and wanted to know if people are interested in buying them they are rare in my area only one petstore orders them but they sellout fast

Convicts, regardless of the variety, are usually tough to sell to hobbyists. While they are great fish, and some of my favorites, they are easy to breed and the market is flooded with them.

They are great fish to keep, so do it, but don't expect there to be much market for offspring.

If you want something that will be more in demand I would get nanoluteus, or maybe some of the other obscure species jeff rapps has. They have bright colors and are less common, so would be in demand. I am close to you and see calico convicts in stores commonly. Fish hut on 46 for example usually has them.

Not really, absolutely fish is the best one around here imo. They get all their cichlids from dan at cichlidsoftheamericas.com, and if you request something they will order and hold it for you for a fee. I usually just order my fish myself though.
Monster aquarium in queens is supposed to be good, but t's all the way in flushing, gotta take a 7 train for like an hour from manhattan.
