Calling all Cichla brothers!!!

I need some suggestions guys. I have PB that I am trying to get off of live food. Now I have read the sticky above and I have him hitting somewhat what ever I drop in. He has hit the krill but continuosly spits it out. I got some shrimp and some tilopia yesterday. Tried that, he ate one peice of the tilopia and spit the other peices out. He wouldnt touch the shrimp. I even got some crickets and he just watches them floating but wont eat them. He has tried the pellets but wont touch them anymore. This guy is very picky. He is 6" and in a 55 with 2 oscars the same size. Plan on upgrading in a few months.Should I starve him a little or keep trying and be patient?

are the oscars taking anyhting besides live?
if so, just stopp feeding live and keep feeding the oscars, if he doesnt catch on within a week, give him some feeders, but not so much that his stomach is bulging, than repeat the whole process, until he is off feeders

Yes, they eat pellets. I tried this method and he went without food for 3 days. He just sits there watching the oscars eat the pellets.

Thanks for the reply CJ, should I keep going feeder,fillet,feeder,fillet or go w/what you suggested. Only asked because I bought more feeders yesterday and I do not want to give any to the oscars.

my 3 juvie tems take shrimp no problem lol but they won't take pellets and they dont seem that interested in live which is a +

my 3.5 inch tem is weird, its been eating pellets, and when i try to feed it live, it doesnt eat it, hell it doesnt even bother it.. lol wtf? hahah

Well I guess i wasnt being patient enough. This morning I tried the fish,fillet,fish,fillet method and he took the first fillet but spit the rest out. I only let him have three reds. This evening I tried again an low and beholdhe ate the tilopia and the shrimp. I only gave him 2 reds and I just gave him the rest of what I had cut up. The only dif is I cut the stuff into strips rather than chunks. Boy when he ate the second peice I threw in it was like. Man Im really glad he is eating something other than reds(knock on wood).
Man you guys are lucky for them not to be eating live being so small. Ive had him for 2 1/2 mths and been trying to get him on pellets from the beginning. From what CJ said though I wasnt trying hard enough.
