*Calling all competetive swimmers* - need some quick advice

Hey all,
So, I'm a swimmer, and its my senior year in high school already. I have yet to make state trials in swimming. The only thing ill be able to do that in is the 50 free. State qualifying time in my division is a 24.99, and i have a 26.58 right now. I'm gonna order a fastskin which should help some, and i've already dropped almost 2 seconds since the beginning of the year. all of that time was dropped at a rate of about .4 seconds per meet, since 4 meets ago.
the last time i can qualify for states is at the end of february, possibly the beginning of march if entries are that late.

SOOOO, what suggestions do you all have that can help me drop time? I'm already gonna work on my starts more, and we work on turns regularly at practice.
 
if you follow a sports nutrionists diet you should be able to max out your performance. By at least ten percent. Of course you have to train correctly and as much or more than your competion.
 
shave your arms, legs, head, armpits, the whole 9 yards.

i wear a cap, and everything except my head will be shaved for states.. coach doesnt want us shaving until then.

I'll look into this but we've tried diets as a team before, they didnt go well, at least for me.. ill see if i can find something i think will work.
 
gona b hard to shave 1.5 sec off your time in such a short time left to you, and im sure ur coach is better than us on here, but your start is a place u could realy find lot of time also last 10 yards dont take any air,did u say u can wear a suit if so get 1 that rides u hi in water,
im no swimer but my buddy is an iron man, and i hear him talkin, guess ur not aloud punch guys in the face like he dose lol

yeah there are special jammers (speedos that cover your thighs too) that are made of material similar to shark skin, and they decrease drag and turbulence around them. most people find them very helpful.
