Calling all computer dorks.

Hey guys. I recently bought a Toshiba A215 laptop (with Windows Vista). The guys at Best Buy optimized it for me, and they put my first and last name as the username when they were messin with it. For example, when I come back from sleep mode, and it has the user name, and it says locked right under it.

Anyways, they spelled my last name wrong, and little things like this bother the heck out of me. How do I change it?

you got ripped off... go back and get them to change it or you go to control panel and click users and change it through that...click users account and you should be able to figure it out

They price matched from their website, so I got the computer for $599. It is a good machine for that much, so I wouldn't say I got ripped off. The optimization was $20. I thought maybe I was waisting $20, but I did it anyways. Thanks for the advice. I'll try it.

exactly. there is nothing you can do to "optimize" a fresh oem computer.. unless we are talking about an out of the box ram upgrade or something.

ok, ok, they scammed me out of 20 bucks. At least I didn't fall for the spyware, antivirus, optimization package for $130.

told ya you got ripped off... i thought it was more then 20.... i think circut city is like 100 or soemting like that... o and you might want to up grade your RAM up to 2gb... it will help alot!!
