After talking with another forum member we think its time to throw up a Mantilla media thread for the progression of our rays from JohnG. I would like to see any and all mantillas especially if you have any from JohnG like my 2 are.

Both are less than a year, the male (Brown one) is around 9 inches and the Female (Orange/Yellow) is around 8 inches.

Thanks for Looking!

Wow that is a nice looking motoro. Those mantilla type rays are looking nice. Here is a pic of a wild caught one I had. This is when it came in at around 7"

Sorry im late and was good talking to you today. Thanks for starting this you beat me too it, water change in my other tank and then having to deal with all these pics and fish in the way.

The Mantillas are 11 months old, 3/10 and 3/28 birth date

Mantilla that looks like a Motoro but is super super light color, So far as I can tell the perimeter dots are much much more like a mantilla, and the tail has much more mantilla look to it, She is a 3/4 mantilla 1/4 Motoro, I cant wait to see her pups she is going to have, will be fun to see what comes out. She was small like the others then all the sudden one day she joined with the leo eating massivore and then she just took off growth wise and now she is about 12-13 inches, from about 7 inches, 5-6 inches in 3 months

Here are the rest of them that I have, 3 males and one other female. They are all so different, the largest male is growing his claspers very well and is probably mature. His are far larger then my 12 inch leo, I really like the female allot with her light color but I also like the main 2 males that I have that have a pattern more like hers, the one with the circles and pattern really tight together is kinda the runt and as you can see is a little torn up with his disk. I just have too many males in my tank, lol time to move some sooner or later.

Figured you would like to see how they are doing. And they all seem to be doing well at this point. Thanks again for the great rays.

Looks like those rays are turning out great and getting big. Thanks for sending me the thread, was nice to see how they are all coming along.
