i think u should make a sticky on "Safe and Common Sting Ray Tankmates" i say this not only because I would like to know, but people ask this all over the stingray forum and providing a sticky that can certain individuals like me (Beginning the hobby of owning rays) or exsperinced ray owners that may want to add some large tank mates if they get larger aquariums. Please Make That Into A Sticky because it will indeed be very very helpful.

Mods dont write stickies lol, they just turn threads INTO stickies
Or both. We do sticky threads that we think are really necessary for various reasons, necessity, frequency of questions asked, etc. I reiterated in your other thread that it will undergo staff approval before we stick them.

If somebody has a thread for stingray tankmates or you could come up with one, then please forward the link to any of the staff moderators assigned on this area so we can decide whether to stick it or not.

I do believe a thread that compiles all the references could work and saves space for sticky threads. I had been mulling this for some time for my disease and loach sections but don't have the time at the moment to make a draft.

I forgot to point out on the other hand, that some people tend to skim the sticky threads which is why a lot of threads are always overlooked, no matter how you persuade them to read. For instance, I tried to change the title of the diagnostics form in my disease forum to make it catchy enough to get the attention of those who needed help. I found myself still asking the same questions I put in the diagnostics form. An avid reader would have no trouble digesting the information if he is eager to learn more about his fish but there are plenty others who are far too lazy to read and would still ask.

Calling all potential and current ray owners! Please actually read the stickies before suggesting one...LOL j/k

7. Tank mates
As a general rule any fish that will fit into a ray's mouth will be eaten. Rays are fragile sensitive fish so you must choose any tank mates carefully to avoid adding an aggressive fish that my kill or upset your ray. Newly acquired rays are best kept alone until they adjust to their new surroundings & begin to eat & gain weight.

There is no such thing as a safe stingray tank mate. It all depends on the rays and each tank mate's character and size.

Big rays can kill almost anything and almost anything can kill a small ray. Yes. Even tiger barbs.

why would we need another sticky for no one to read? there is tons of threads on tankmates and there is a small handfull of actual safe tank mates... most are a small gamble as to who will get killed...
