i was just curious of the growth rate of calvus compared to frontosa. for ex. if you put 1.5" fronts, and 1.5" calvus in together in 6 months would you just have 5" calvus feeding on 1 3/4" fronts?

so you wouldn't have to worry about one eating the other then. i just wasn't real sure. i was just thinking about that for a setup and that question crossed my mind. figured it's better to be safe than sorry with fish that are a little more pricey.

the frontosa will get more of the food, thus stunting the even slower growing calvus.
since calvus are such slow growers, in order to maximize efficiency and growth to sale time its best to keep calvus fry in a tank of their own.

Keeping them with ANY other species really slows them down growth wise.
