My two calvus fights constant, one is black the other white, they are in a fifty five gal along with three fons their only encounter is with each other, should I seperate them or what.
Did you calvus grow up together from tiny or no? Calvus tend to be agressive twoards others unless you get them at a small age and they grow up together. Or thats what I have learned owning a few awhile ago. You should prob. seprate them b/c they are just going to keep fighting. They are agressive against their own kind.
When you say, the calvus are fighting, do you mean they are locking jaws or just chasing each other around? Jaw locking is very common amongst Africans as it's part of demonstrating dominance. I personally wouldn't worry too much about it unless it's causing obvious harm.
If possible try rearranging the rock work and add more rocks if possible. How new are they together? Could be they are sorting out their territories. Keep an eye out for injuries and remove the one injured should it occur. Great little fish. It be a shame to lose one.
