Camallanus worm treatment

My fahaka has two red, thread like worms protruding from the anus, clearly camallanus worms. Where can I get Levamisole in the US? I have prazipro but know it is not strong enough. There is no lack of appetite at the moment.

try vets, its used as a pig dewormer. lev will work if u use it enough and at the right times.
 
Vets wont perscibe it anymore in my area without bringing the animal in.

Dunno your area but in mine there is a vet that maked house calls for fish, but expensive. Some koi breeders have access to restricted meds, i was able to get antibiotic injections for free from a local lfs owner/koi breeder for a nasty bactirial infection, saving me 400 from the vet- ill never forget his genorosity.

go to your local feed store..explain to them what it is fore and ask them to order you a pack of Prohibit.

it cost me about 20$ and they ordered it in for me with in a few days. ..51grams..it takes 5 grams per 100 gallons.

Got prohibit from tractor supply. Dosed half the amount with e/d small wc and is working great. No worms from the anus anymore. Great Advice! Some people on this site still care and know what they are talking about. Still hope in the world

make sure you use it a few times. I would wait at keast a week that hit it again. really good gravel vacs plays a vital roll. Than i would hit the tank again in 30 days

I battled with these nasty worms a few times..make sure to re treat..and don't hesitate to treat a therd time to be 100%

you have no idea how many times i have suggested Prohibit and no one takes the suggestion..it was easy to get.I my self find this product after going to 4 different feed/cattle stores looking for Levamisole and called countless vets . Its way cheaper than anything i came across.
