EGGS..:WHOA::WHOA::WHOA: and wait what's on the slate in the other corner of the same tank...more eggs:WHOA::WHOA::WHOA:.

i posted a thread sometime last week about whether monos can breed when they are only 7-8". there was a few opinions but now i got the answer.... they just laid eggs:naughty:, but their colours is paler than other cichlids, is this normal?

also, should i try to hatch the eggs separately or just leave them with their parents?

to my biggest surprise, my jags also laid heaps of caviars in the same tank.

what should i do?

i'll post some pics tomorrow.

The first thing you shouldve have done was take pics then start this thread lol..
As for the eggs, you might have to wait for tongue or the other guys who've bred cichla before to give you advice..

wahey go on man! nice going and at that size too!

i have my fingers crossed for you bro!

i think you need to keep a good eye out on them let them hatch then scoop them up and put in another tank this is sick tho bro watch out for the aggression to waytogo

Yep...agreed, Congrats on the eggs. Post pictures:popcorn:

Yes i think pictures are a must. Congrats. And I don't think people were saying they couldn't do it but rather they won't have the experince or knowledge of rearing fry just yet. As we'll as yourself they and you will have a lot to learn is all we were saying. But great accomplishment for sure.

Congrats! That's awesome for you to get them to breed at that size!
