Help me out. I still just have the damsels, what should I do? Don't want these "Valuable" fish to die. LOL

Use a quarantine tank! It's as simple as a 10 gal tank with a heater, some type of filter, and some plastic plants for cover. Put you damsels in there now and treat with a saltwater ich medicine. Leave your main tank empty for at least a month before adding your fish back in it. But, don't treat your main tank with medicine. There's no guarantee the ich won't come back though. Once it's in your main tank it's hard to get rid of. I've been using a qt tank for years and have never had a problem with any parasite in my main tank, although a few fish have been sick in the qt tank. As I said before, a qt tank is one of the most valuable pieces of equipment you can have.

Thanks for the link. The two fish with the infestations got a FW dip. If the problems persist, I will let it take it's course. This being my first attempt at SW, I will not be adding any expensive fish until I am 100% confident that I can keep SW fish successfully. Thanks for the advice.
Re: Quarantine tank

Should I just set up a 10 bare, and leave the fish in it for a few weeks before adding them to the main?

FW dip: dropped a damsel in my bass tank, wouldn't eat it. Dropped it in the Oscar tank, wouldn't touch it. Put back in the SW tank. Looks much better now. LOL

Haha nice. I guess they knew it was sick.

I've used copper, chloraquin or fw dips combined with low sal for extended periods to clear it up with a lot of success in the past.

Don't want to use chems, as I have inverts, unless there are some safe for inverts. Dipped one fish, looks good now.
