My 12"+ Armatus took down my 7" red tail barracuda and ate it sorry for the crappy cell phone pics I'm sad and amazed at the same time

Ummm, i've learned from expensive experience that Payara can swallow fish 3/4 their own size. I would never put anything smaller with them unless it's food. I had a 6" Scomb eat my 4" VATF!

Yea he's ate datnoids before.lol and one rule of thumb in my aquarium is survival of the fittest but they've been housed together in the same tank since they where both about 3 inches so it was kinda weird

My 4-5" oscar ate a 3" pangasius catfish yesterday. I was shocked and amazed. considering the oscar only has one eye ANd is a long fin... still managed to catch a fast swimming catfish. How I will never know
