so ive been wanting a few of these for a while now and when i went a local reptile shop to grab some hedgie food and crickets i find RAZORS!!!!!!!!!!

so i am totally stoked. i find one in a tank and the turtle is about 1''. about the size of a dime. so i tell the dude to fetch him for me. THEN!! i walk around the aisle and i find ANOTHER!!! but this one is about 3'' maybe a little less. and guess what? they are 25 bucks each. so i buy both of em. i brought them home and put them in my ten gallon planted as a temp home. impulse buying isnt good but i had to have these guys. im going to set them up in a 20 planted in a day or 2. pointless thread maybe but i just wanted to share this with you guys. pics in a few. :nilly::headbang2:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2:screwy:

Nice, razors are one of my faves. And loggerheads but I don't see them often at all.

They're great turtles but I don't know if it's a great idea to mix those two together due to their different sizes. They have powerful jaws and the bigger one could easily decapitate the smaller while feeding.

Good for you Pie and no it's not a pointless thread.I remember the feeling when I finally found a Diamondback Terrapin in a pet store.

actually i do have them in different tanks right now. i might just do another set up for the bigger one cause of the major size differance. thanks for the replies!!

Yeah good idea, until the little one catches up. Any idea what sex the big one is? Maybe you'll get a pair.

Not sure of the sex yet. But will find out. im curious.

You may be able to sex the 3" one, concave lower shell and big tail, should be male. Not sure if they have a tail spur, I used to have some striped mud turts and the males had a heavy spur on the tip of their tail.
