Yeah....

Where I'm currently at, I will have time to get to know the camera's, there potential, and all the setting mode. I kinda figured, if I get a close, mid, and far range lenses, then I can just adapted to that. A learning tool of lenses, then I can add filters, play around with the flash, and so on.

The D90 and the D40 is on it's way. I have confirmation that all my lenses have been sent, extra battery, and some cleaning stuff all been sent. I pretty much understand the camera of both, but now it's just practice and getting use to the cameras, and playing with the lenses and settings.

I'm really stoked about these to camera's. But I kinda miss my D60, But kinda don't. I have read that the D60 lenses selection is really slim.

So, I have also decided to hold off on the SB-600 flash, But that might change once I actually get the camera's, but we shall see.

Question: Would these lenses be considered as a alright/good collection for everyday/travel/all around type of shooting?

By having a 18-200 and a 18-105 seems redundant. I would just
keep the one 18-200. No need to spend extrA money

The 18-105mm comes with the camera....So the 18-105mm will be going on the D40 as well 18-55mm for the 40.

oh. ok. that makes sense. And from personal experience (i just walked around with it for two hours), my nikon 105mm 2.8D micro is a beauty. Definately worth every penny.

And why not get the nikon 50mm 1.8D for around $350??

Wow, I think it's time for a update.
Still have my D90. I'm looking into getting a full frame body.
I ended up getting:

nikkor 50mm f/1.8
nikkor 35mm f/1.8
nikkor 17-55mm f/2.8
nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8 VR1
MD-80
sb-900

I think that's it.....
Later down the road, I'll most likely get a Nikkor 300mm f/2.8 ed vr II for bird pictures.
