I was just wondering if 1 mature male ray could get more than 1 mature female pregant in the same tank/pond/setup? Has anyone here have a male get multiple females pregant around the same time??

Really? I always assumed a stud will mate with every mature female he could.

Do they express this behaviour in the wild? What if you moved him to a different system? Would he pick out a single female right away or would it take awhile?

I would have never guessed pair bonding behavior in elasmobranchs!

I have experience with this. I have one male with two large females. He mated with one female and when I put the divider up he mated with the other. He did this twice but my last two litters have been from only one female. It's been almost a year now since he bred with the other female. He doesn't even acknowledge her. I'm gonna try and seperate the females into two seperate tanks.
