hi all, I have two choices to make, but wanted input before I move foward tonight! so I have a 5ish in ntt dat, a 3in orino and about a 7in tig cat in a 20 gal long. (I have a 75 thats almost done cycling-by next week it should be ready) And there is a 3.5 in siamese tiger at lfs. can he temporarily coexist in the 20 for about a week with the other dat? or will there be trouble. i've read before that you should keep a minimum of 3...i just dont want the little guy to get hurt...
or, there is a 6in one that I can put in my 300...but want to lean with the smaller one as he is very outgoing!
thanks in advance!!!

I think the 5 in NTT would be fine to move in the 300 now, so the smaller one that you want to buy should be no problem at all ;)

BTW the probability of finding a ST is like finding Gold in your spaghetti, much less at a lfs. They all label them as ST's, but they are probably an indo. But a 20g will not do, maybe for a week tops, if there are daily water changes.
The 75g will last you about another month or two because that's when they will start growing, eventually for all those monster a 300g or more tank will be required.

I think your right about the ST-I do think its an IT...but I think the 75 gal will be fine for more than a month-dats are slow growing monsters-correct me if I'm wrong-but that should be fine for at least 4 months minimally...

It MIGHT be fine, but a week is a short period of time. So more likely, it'll be fine. However, I'd put a lot of driftwood to provide plenty of hiding spots for them. As for their growth...they are very slow growers and a 75 will probably last a few years at least.

thanks all! benjamin-what I really wanted to say was at least a year!
bongko-I know right!! he's friendly I guess!

After all, my friend wanted this guy, so I told him go get it! Dam! It had one of the nicest personalities I've ever seen in a dat-came up to the tank to see you, even followed your hand if you made a movement in front of the tank!
=( Looks like I'm going with the 6-7 in dat for the 300!

thanks guys for your help though !
