I have a tank, I believe it is a 42gal Glass. It has a small chip in the corner from the Outside, but there is a small hairline crack that is barely visible, less than 1/8" in length. My question is can it be fixed with silicone or a resin of some kind? It held water for a long time but then I moved. I am using it right now for a temporary enclosure for my baby bearded dragons, and I am also worried that the heat lamps have caused damage to the silicone. there is no visible damage to the silicone, but I figured I would ask because I need to start up a quarantine tank pretty quickly. I cannot afford to run out and buy a brand new tank of this size so I need some advice!!! anything will help. thanks!

Yea thats what I was thinking too... I was just hoping for someone to "save" me from having to realize that!!

cut out the cracked piece aand silicone in a new one once all the old silicone is removed

or

get a piece of glass to silicone to the inside of the tank that is a bit smaller than the cracked piece.
