Grabbed a brand new 210g Aqueon Mega Flow tank, stand, lid from a couple who never set it up, it came with a new, in the box ADV-300. Can anyone devise a way to use if for freshwater? Or should I sell it and go wet/dry etc. I'm old school and the refugium trend is lost on me. I know the filter was designed for a saltwater reef set-up & skimmer. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...K1?
Thanks

Yeah you could definitely use the K1 method with one of these sumps. I can't vouch for how efficient it will be though. I'm not a huge fan of the design but I'm sure you could make a pretty decent sump out of it or just sell it in box, I'm sure there are ton of people who would buy it then you can get a more freshwater friendly sump

Thanks, pretty much confirms my first thoughts...I can sell it as new, and buy a pretty efficient filter system to my liking.

Yeah and i think you could find a 75 gallon and customize it to you're own liking plus it would provide you with more volume.

Just happen to have a Eshopps wd-150cs lying around and an FX6. Pretty sure I can make those work with and add a few things from the proceeds of the adv300.
