Can a fish choke?

My Dat has been fighting a big piece of food for over a half hour now. How long should this go on for? It is all the way in its mouth. So I wonder can it not spit the food out or do I have to take it out somehow?

He can die. Watch him. More times then not hell spit it but my buddies pbass died last week after eating an exodon and choking them both to death. But I say hell be fine.

yeah i've never tried to heimlich a fish, but they can definitely choke on food... luck with that.

yeah they can, some lkarge predators died when they try to eat fish that too big for them and block their mouths.

one of my freshwater pipefish died like that from eating a feeder shrimp that was too big.
