Can A flagtail prochilodus survive off of eating plants?

I just bought two flagtail prochilodus and instead of providing them with veggie pellets and flake food i was thinking of just buying a plant so they can eat whenever they want to. what kind of plant would be good for them?

Even otos need supplementary food, they can't just live off algae.

You'll definitely want to feed other foods, bloodworms, algae wafers, anything

You will need to feed other things, they will eat most things anyway.

what would be the best food to get them to grow faster? i need them to catch up with my 2 foot aro's . right now my flagtails are about 3" inches.

I am not sure if it is a proper diet for a flagtail but beefheart makes everything grow faster.

Mine takes prawn, frozen peas, and floating protein sticks and has grown very fast.
