Well the title says it all. I have a 75 gallon with a musk turtle and a rope fish. So far no signs of aggression. I just want to know if a flowerhorn is able to kill a Musk Turtle. I think I may move the rope fish soon just to be on the safe side, but I just want to know if the musk turtle would ever be in danger. I am thinking that a fish is not able to kill a turtle unless it is able to swallow it whole, which is very unlikely in my case.

***75 Gallon*** 1 Flowerhorn, 1 African Rope Fish and 1 Musk Turtle, ***60 Gallon*** 2 Angelfish, 1 Knight Goby, 1 Rainbow Goby, 1 Glo Fish,1 Columbian Spotted Pleco and 4 Giant Danios ***

When your flowerhorn gets big it could possibly kill your turtle. My Silk has made me bleed before and I don't hwve the softest hands being a roofer. My Silk has very sharp 1/4"+ teeth and so has all my other large FH. If he grabs the turtle rite he could kill or seriously injure him. But you might get lucky and he won't bother him. Hell my guy was a terror for a while but now I can pet him or do what ever I want and he seems to enjoy it now.

I have no idea how your ropefish is still alive. With that said generally what can't kill an aquatic turtle get's killed by said turtle. I've heard of some people keeping pig nose turtles occasionally with non feeder fish with mixed results. 9 times out of ten it doesn't end well- especially with just 75 gallons.- BTW fish kill turtles by biting their head every time it comes out of the shell and from the stress or infection of being nipped at on every exposed area (tail, limbs ect.)

Wow that sounds terrible! I'm going to move both of them. The turtle is very special to me so I definitely don't want her to get hurt
