interested in a kamfa but realistically, only if they will breed. I heard there’s not chance that they do.

The best way to get a Kamfa that will breed is to by one from a local breeder who has either proven the males fertility, or has kamfa offspring from a breeding pair of Kamfa. I have owned three female kamfas that have all laid eggs for me. I have only owned one male and he was too aggressive to try and breed.

I've heard that Kamfa with white eyes are infertile and those (rare ones) with red eyes are fertile, but personally don't know if this is 100% accurate.

Eye color does NOT guarantee fertility. White Eyes or Red Eyes can be fertile. Many male flowerhorns have fertility issues due to a ton of factors including: Inbreeding, Parrot Fish Genes, Chemically being sterilized by the breeder, just to name a few.

Then I stand corrected, guess it's another flowerhorn old fish wives' tale :)
