they are having a sell at petco. like 20% off the knifefish and they look really cool. i probably won't get one, but just for future notice i'm curious.
can a knifefish survive in a 100 gal with mbunas?

I don't think it matters what kind...The small species would get mauled and the larger species would eat the cichlids!
i think it is the smaller species because the description said that it was best fit in a tank with other fish of calmer tempers. but then they had it kept with a blood parrot cichlid.
Hmmm I'd look up knifefish on the internet and see if you can find out what it is. If petco has it, it's probably pretty common...
