I recently let a friend borrow my empty 25 gallon tank to house a lizard for a few months. Is it safe to use for fish again. Heard a few different things. I hope I did not just loose a tank. Thanks for your help.

usually is no problem... fill it with water and see if it holds...

It was a fish tank, no reason why it still can't be, good luck with it

You are good to go.

just make sure that it is a fish tank that was used for reptiles

in my area, they make reptile tanks up to 150 gallons in size that are NOT designed to hold water and are made with thin glass - if you fill them you are going to end up with a mess. they are meant to hold air, some decor and reptiles.

not water and fish.

If it was originally meant for fish, then it shouldn't be a problem. If it was a reptile tank to begin with, the glass is usually thinner which wouldn't be good for holding water.
